    Steven A. Gest, M.D., CEO, Founder and Medical Director

    A graduate of Thomas Jefferson University (1985), Dr. Gest is board certified in Family Practice (AAMS) and Emergency Medicine (AAPS). After completing thirteen years of Emergency Medicine practice and management, he now dedicates his full time focus to Occupational Medicine. He is a valued advisor and sought after speaker in Occupational Medicine injury prevention and treatment. Dr. Gest is a pioneer in the field of Telemedicine and an active member in the American Telemedicine Association. He is also active in utilization review and is the Owner/Medical Director of Physicians’ Utilization Review Medical Group.

    Dr. Patricia Hopp, COO, Partner and Co-Founder

    Dr. Hopp received her MS and PhD at the University of California, San Francisco, where she currently serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor. Dr. Hopp specializes in occupational health, population management and injury prevention with an emphasis on statistics and quantitative data analysis.

    Dr. Hopp’s interests include international health care, travel medicine and diving/hyperbaric medicine. She participated in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME) Role Delineation Study and is a certified trainer for DOT drug and alcohol testing. In addtion to leading EOMC’s business operations, Dr. Hopp heads EOMC’s national nurse care management division.

    Paul R. Perchonock, MD

    A graduate of Temple University School of Medicine (1970), Dr. Perchonock was board certified in Emergency Medicine for 20 years. After serving as Founding Medical Director of the Alta Bates Medical Center Emergency Service in Berkeley, he practiced for 20 years as a primary care physician on staff of the Alta Bates Summit campus in Oakland before joining the Emeryville Occupational Medical Center team in 2006. He prides himself in providing compassionate care and clear communication to patients and employers as they undergo the stress from work-related injury and its recovery.

    Judith Cronin, NP, RN

    A 2005 graduate of Sameul Merritt University, Oakland, CA, with a Masters of Science in Nursing, Ms. Cronin served on active duty in the United States Air Force Nurse Corp. for 21 years. During her career she obtained the rank of Captain. She focuses on fitness and workplace injury care and prevention.
